I'm so sore about Michael's death... he had such a huge influence on the way I developed as a writer. And I am literally sick to my stomach with what my generation considers music these days...there's no content WHATSOEVER, it does absolutely NO justice to the trail that MJ blazed! You would think that having such a phenom as a model, that those who followed would progress...but instead the industry has grown into this shallow, narcissistic poison. When did egotism become attractive?? Am I really that old of a soul? It seems like the wacker the artist, the more they think the world of themselves, meanwhile, the greatest to ever do it was nothing but humble... ::sigh::

I leave you with my favorite video of ALL TIME! I love 'Thriller', but BAD is what pushed me to become a dancer, I was like 2 or 3 when it came out. My older sisters had it on VHS and would watch it religiously. At around 6 or 7, I studied its entire choreography and nailing it encouraged me to take dancing more seriously than just wilin' out around the house, Lol. Ever since, this song let alone the video can't come on without me losing my mind!

I've been been almost consumed with thoughts of how I will dress my new place. I love mixing romantic/traditional and modern...and I'm addicted to french inspired furniture. I think I have the romantic portion down, now its just about adding that eclectic me, while minding to keep it relaxed. I'm playing with the idea of some sort of subtle, metallic wallpaper, perhaps a splash of color in the drapes and linens, or maybe even bold, graphic prints...we'll see how it all develops!

I was in the mood to upgrade my accessory life...not sure if I went too far...especially since I know I'm not done, lol.

And isn't this metallic mannequin hand the coolest! I got it from my cool friends BruceGlen (its actually 2 seperate names....but they're twins...so its cute, Lol) when we were leaving their office bldg (they're designers...I have the dopest friends). There were bins of plastic models geared to be thrown out, and this was the last of its kind...we're not quite sure what happened to the rest of the body...so if anyone sees a gold mannequin walking around, tell her I have her hand.

Still thinking of different uses, I initially planed to flip it around, nail it to my closet wall, and hang necklaces...we'll see.

I just LOVE this chick! I know, not the most immaculate voice-but you gotta respect a girl who remains true to herself. The industry definitely tries their hardest to dilute the ones with heart, and I know for a FACT she has had to hold her own to be heard. Look at her just groovin, wilin' the heck out! LOVE IT!

Not quite sure if you all were aware of me catching the photographic bug, but it seems to intensify with each passing day. As fate would have it, I've been given the awesome opportunity to work with the FANTABULOUS Sarah McColgan! I have been a fan of her work for quite some time and the experience has been nothing short of a blessing.

Yesterday she shot the lookbook for Devon Scott's Fall Collection, MEN-DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND KEEP YOUR EYE OUT FOR THIS DUDE! Definitely for the sophisticated sort. The suits were so fly I wanna rock em! ...and I just may try, Lol. Anywho, it doesn't hurt that he's a complete sweetheart =)
