Start at the top of the stairs and apply stairway tread glue to tops staircases. Stair-sticks, also called stair ringers, are the two side frames that will support stairway treads. Apply a 1/4 inch pearl of glue. Down in the middle of each stair jacket. If you have sub treads, add a pearl of glue. Put the staircase on the staircase shaft it and tighten it. Drill two pilot holes just down the stairs. Space the screws evenly.
Stair treads – Install stair risers first. Staircase steps are the plates on the back of each step. The back of the treads will overlap tabicas. Sweep sub treads, if applicable. Sub treads are boards installed flushing with the top of staircases during the design phase. Not all builders use sub treads, but if your staircase has them, they will provide additional stability.
